He is most probably just stunned. The Question
A beautiful yellow finch hit my window and is just laying there. He is still alive, but now what do I do with him? Do you think he might be stunned? Should I bring him inside so he won't be easy prey for the neighborhood cats? Help, I hate to see it suffer.- Janice My Answer
It is not a good idea to do anything for a few minutes as the shock of your picking him up could cause him to have a heart attack. Allow him to rest a few minuted, try to keep cats away, and if the hit has normal he will get up and fly away. It the hit has very bad (which is rare) there is little you can do except contact a local Wild Animal Rehabilitator . Thanks for caring John | . |   John Gardner The Backyard Birder
